Got the holes drilled in the hood for the Stainless side strips. The hood looks good now except I found one spot welded nut missing, so have to weld another in it's place. Then the hood is ready to go to the painter.
Worked on installing the pop-up fuel door in the bed. Made some router jigs to inlay the door into the wood bed. I think it turned out pretty good.
Also applied the tailgate straps that keep the tailgate from flopping all the way down. That was a fairly simple operation. I don't know how strong the straps are, but seem pretty tough. Anyway, nobody should be setting on it. If they do, their toast.
Took all the wood bed pieces back out and will put a finish on them in my wood shop, later, where it is warmer.
Need to put a coat of rust proof paint on the inside of the doors next.
Winter is catching up with me. Not many good days left. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry.
